I enjoy photographing all sports but there have been highlights. Once the vice-chairman of the PGA Memorial asked me to document the tournament, preliminaries, practice rounds and behind the scenes activities. Those photos appeared in The Memorial, a magazine published by the tournament committee.

Watching the PGA’s most gifted athletes was humbling. What they do with a golf club transcends the physical, becoming art. It seemed simple, make photos of people playing. The difficulty was keeping concentration. Watching icon players on one of America’s most beautiful courses, I constantly needed to say to myself, don’t watch, photograph.
